When I was selected in the Call for Production and Dissemination of Literary Works of the State Secretariat of Culture of Espirito Santo, I knew that the counterpart of the grant involved disclosure. Everything that is produced with the support of Secult must be disclosed in the press, but this process should not even be a requirement of the public notice: to divulge your book is totally essential so that it has some success.
In my search for professionals in the field, I was talking with colleague Aline Dias about websites that make book reviews, when she pointed me to Livros por Lívia, a site that reviews books by local authors. So I got in touch with the author, the dear Livia Corbellari, and we talked about the possibility of her giving her official opinion on Kiss Me in Barcelona. For her sympathy, interest and knowledge, I ended up making an agreement so that she would be responsible for the press office, announcing the launch of the book.
In addition, Lívia makes an excellent publicity on her website and on its facebook page, collaborating in the scheduling of the launch event and accompanying in person the launch, which was on July 14, 2017.
The whole process is still going on, but I am already extremely pleased with Lívia’s work, which is impeccable. I leave here my recommendation to other authors in the search for good publicity and good advice.
Lívia Corbellari was born in Salvador (BA) in 1989, but lives in Vitória (ES) since she was 6 years old. A journalist graduated from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes), she worked for 4 years in the online daily Século Diário as a reporter for the Culture notebook. Today, she is divided into copywriter, Pulso Content Agency, and advisor for writers. In addition, she dedicates herself to literary projects like the blog Livros por Lívia, the Trino Magazine and the event Cachaçada Literária.
